How we work.

We are constantly refining our process to create a more efficient, stream-lined, and pleasant experience for you. Here's how we typically do things:

Our process

bullet Consultation
First things first, we need to get an idea of the scope of your project and your price range. This is done through a free, no-obligation one hour consultation via phone, e-mail, or chat messenger. We will bombard you with questions in order to get all the information we need to create a proposal that meets your needs and your budget. Although we would love to create solutions for everyone, sometimes for one reason or another we'll find we aren't a good match for you. We'll let you know that up front and may even point you in the right direction.

bullet Proposal
Once we've established what your project entails we'll develop a time frame and estimate for getting it done. Here's where your budget comes into play. We'll propose a solution that will work within your price range. If your price range more than covers your needs don't worry, we'll tell you. We're always willing to talk about estimates so that we can come up with a solution we're both comfortable with. Once the proposal has been accepted we require a 50% deposit with the balance due upon completion. We also enter into a contract with you that discusses our terms & conditions so that you'll always be informed of our policies.

bullet Discovery
We don't believe in arbitrary design. Every decision we make has a reason behind it. So don't be surprised when we start asking even more questions. We need to learn about your company and offerings so that we can establish your main goals and objectives, who your audience is, the message you want to convey, what your competition is up to, and the industry standards. Now is also the time for us to collect all of the content from you that will be used in the project and anything you can provide to help with the design. Examples may be logo files, current and past brochures, photos, etc. The more information you provide the faster we can get your project done and the better your results will be. Research is what creates an effective solution.

bullet Strategy
Armed with the information from our Discovery process we can now sit down and flesh out a plan for execution. We'll brainstorm producible solutions that will meet all of your objectives while staying in budget, on time and looking amazing. We'll then ask you to review our ideas and give us your input on the direction we're going.

bullet Execution
Once you're happy with our concept we can get our hands dirty. Now that we've decided together on a direction we'll get to work on creating a tangible design. In this phase you'll see your vision come to light. We'll create the visual and information design, choose a color palette, decide on fonts, etc. We will provide an electronic proof of our design for you to review and finalize. At this point we can apply the design to the entire project while adding all content you provided. If your project is web-based this is the stage in which we will do the programming as well.

bullet Refinement
Once we've finished with the execution we will allow some time for review so that we may refine our work. We ask that you review our work thoroughly so that we can make all of the changes at once in order to be efficient. We allow two rounds of revisions included in our cost. Once it's gone beyond that we'll let you know so that you won't be surprised by added expense. It's best to make sure the content you provide is as close to ready-to-go as possible when you give it to us. Once we've finalized the design making major changes can become very time consuming and costly.

bullet Production
For print work this means that we will prepare your files for the press. If you have your own printer in mind please provide us with their contact information so we can set the file up to their specifications. If you'd like us to handle this we can provide you with a price quote for our printer and take care of everything for you. For web work this means that we will be testing the site to ensure cross-browser compatibility, standard compliant code, and a user-friendly experience. If you're all setup with web hosting we'll ask you to create a login for us so that we may launch the site. Or, we'd be happy to setup your domain and hosting for you and can speak with you about the cost.
